Expenses

The District expenses are broken into three categories: Salaries & Benefits, Purchase Services & Supplies, and Capital Outlay.

Salaries and Benefits are the dollars spent on direct salary to employees, federal and state taxes, social security taxes, pension payments and health insurance costs.  That currently makes up more than two-thirds of the District’s budget.

Purchase Services & Supplies are the costs incurred in the day-to-day operation of the district.  That includes contracted services for learning platforms, computers, supplies, etc.

Capital Outlay are expenses directly related to purchasing major assests including constructing new buildings, renovating existing buildings, purchasing large equipment or land.
