Appointments are now open!

Kindergarten registration for the 2026-27 school year will take place at Festus Elementary School over two days in February and March. Those dates and times are:

February 26 from 9am – 5:45pm

March 26 from 9am – 5:45pm

If your child will be five years old on or before July 31, 2026, they are eligible to attend Kindergarten beginning in August.  You can make an appointment for Kindergarten registration here.  Appointments will last about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Please submit one appointment form per child. If you need to change your appointment, please make sure it is changed on the appointment site so you can see what appointment times are available.

You will need to bring to the appointment:

• Your child
• Proof of Residency (Utility Bill within the last 30 days, ie. water, electric, gas) 
• Child’s Birth Certificate
• Child’s Immunization Records
• Your ID 

If you do not have Proof of Residency and Birth Certificate with you at your appointment, your child will not be screened and enrolled at Festus.

With proper documentation, at the time of appointment, parents will complete the online registration while your child is screened.

If your child has already been screened by Parents As Teachers using the DIAL screener at preschool or daycare this school year, do not make an appointment. You will receive an email requesting the above documentation.
