Festus R6 School District

The Festus R-VI Board of Education approved the 2026-27 District calendar at its meeting on Thursday, February 19, 2026.  Calendar highlights include:

• The first day of school will be Monday, August 24, 2026
• Early release day on Friday September 4, before the long Labor Day weekend
• No School Sept. 7 ( Labor Day)
• No School Oct. 5 (Professional Development Day)
• No School Oct 30 (Fall Break)
• No School Nov. 25-27 (Thanksgiving)
• Dec. 22, last day before Winter Break (FULL DAY)
• Dec. 23 – Jan. 4, 2027 Winter Break
• No School Jan. 5 (Professional Development Day)
• Jan. 6 – Students return for 2^nd Semester
• No School Jan. 18 (MLK Day)
• No School Feb. 12 (Professional Development Day)
• No School Feb. 15 (President’s Day)
• No School Mar. 26 – Apr. 2 (Spring Break)
• May 24 – Last Day of School
