Registration for the 2026 Summer School is now open.

Dates and Eligibility: Summer school runs from June 2 through June 30, 2026. Please note there will be no school on Friday, June 19, 2026. Programs are open to regular district students and those residing outside the Festus R-VI School District.  When filling out the registration form, you MUST submit a different form for each student attending summer school.

• Grades K–4: Classes held at the Elementary School.

• Grades 5–12: Classes held at the High School.

School Hours: Hours have changed for this year. Please note the specific times for your student’s grade level:

• Grades K–4: 8:10 AM – 2:55 PM

• Grades 5–8: 8:00 AM – 2:45 PM

• Grades 9–12: Students attend based on course selections.

  • Morning Session: 8:00 AM – 11:10 AM

  • Afternoon Session: 11:30 AM – 2:45 PM

Transportation & Meals:  Bus transportation is available upon request. You must complete the transportation section of the enrollment form by 3:30pm on Thursday, May 21, 2026. No requests can be accommodated after this date.

Breakfast and lunch are available daily at the following rates:

• Grades K–6: Breakfast $1.70 | Lunch $3.05

• Grades 7–12: Breakfast $1.75 | Lunch $3.10

Curriculum & Handbooks Building-specific activities will be detailed in the summer school handbooks.

• Middle Grades (5–8): Students will choose their classes when the session begins. You can find a list of possible offerings here.

• High School: We offer both online and in-seat options for Physical Education, Health, and Personal Finance. In-seat options are also available for Driver’s Education, Tutoring/Mentoring, Beginning Acting, Music Tech and English, Math, Science, and Social Studies credit recovery.
