5 Things To Know This Week - September 28 - October 3 (Homecoming Week)

Before the homecoming game on Friday, the high school's National Honor Society will host its annual homecoming chili supper.  It runs from 4:30pm-6:30pm.  This year it is being held in the Elementary School's upper cafeteria.  The entrance is in the parking lot at the intersection of Sunshine Drive and Mid-Meadow Lane.  Stop by before the game and get chili, a hot dog, mac & cheese, chips, cookies and a drink for just $10.  Children 12 and under are $5.

At 5:30, we will hold our annual Hall of Fame induction.  It will be held in the Elementary School near the cafeteria.  This year we are inducting G. William Weier.  Mr. Weier is a 1961 graduate of Festus High School.  He was a very successful attorney and businessman.  Since 2009 he has awarded a four-year scholarship to the University of Missouri to a deserving Festus graduate.  That scholarship is currently worth $5000 per year.  For health reasons, Mr. Weier will not be able to attend the ceremony in person, but will join us virtually for the induction.  Everyone is invited to attend.
