April 18 Kindergarten Registration Appointments Open

Appointments can now be made for Kindergarten Registration for the 2024-2025 school year. The final registration day will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at Festus Elementary School. Children who will be 5-years-old on or before July 31, 2024 will be eligible for kindergarten next school year.
When you come for your appointment on April 18, you must bring your child to registration so they can be tested. You must also bring your ID. You must also bring your child’s birth certificate, vaccination records and your proof of residency if you do not upload them during online registration. Also, please bring any court orders related to your child. The best form of proof of residency is a utility bill in your name with service address and due date visible. Cell phone bills, credit card bills, medical bills, or financial statements will NOT be accepted as proof of residency.
Click on this link to be directed to the appointment sign-up page. There you will find more information and links for beginning the process with online registration. You will also be able to sign-up your soon-to-be kindergarten student for summer school.
Parents whose students were recently tested at the Festus Early Childhood Center or at other preschool or daycare centers by Parents as Teachers do not need to make an appointment but you must complete the online registration portion. Click here to do that. If you do not upload the required documents, you will be contacted to bring them to the office. You can also register your child for summer school if you choose.

Parents with students already in the Festus R-VI School District, to access Kindergarten Online Registration login to your Parent Portal account. Then scroll down on the main dashboard of the parent portal to “Online Reg.”
Then click on “Kindergarten Registration.”
